Tell us about yourself:

I have been a school counselor since 1998. I am originally from northwest Ohio and have resided in mid-coast Maine since 1988. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana in 1984. I attended the University of Maine in Orono and earned my Masters of Education in School Counseling in 1998. I have taken a number of other distance learning graduate courses through Colorado State University/Pueblo.

Tell us why you like working in your special area:

I like being a school counselor because I have the opportunity to encourage students and help them learn strategies (stress management, coping skills, decision-making) that they can use throughout their lifetime.
